Peacefrog Records

Peacefrog Records are an independent record label based in London, United Kingdom. The label produces releases in many different styles of electronic music as well as branching out into folk and indie artists such as José González and Nouvelle Vague. Started by Pete Hutchison and Paul Ballard in 1991. After the Lodger 303 E.P., Ballard withdrew from Peacefrog Records. The label subsequently released a number of techno records by artists including Luke Slater, Moodymann and Suburban Knight. The label has built up a following over the years, increased by the mainstream success of José González. Forthcoming releases include "Ritual Union" by Little Dragon and a third Nouvelle Vague album entitled 3.

Peacefrog Records have sublabel called Agenda.

Past and present musicians

Advertising

A number of the label's artists have allowed companies to use their music on advertisements. Perhaps the most famous is the Sony BRAVIA advert, which uses González's Heartbeats. Also, Nouvelle Vague's Melt with You appears on the T-Mobile Web'n'Walk advert and Findlay Brown's Come Home appeared on a MasterCard advert.
